Winter Accessories

To hop on board with Eli's last post about the incoming cold front, just because its becoming time to layer up to fend off the oncoming winter cold does not mean you can't wear some awesome and stylish accessories.

Scarves

                                     Forever 21                 American Apparel

A basic of any Fall or Winter wardrobe, scarves are both versatile and help keep you warm. I still do love the simple knit scarves with a little fringe, but right now I really a fan of the circle or infinity scarf. Not only can you use it as a scarf or hooded scarf when it's cold out, you can make it into a shawl, figure 8 top, layered mini dress that you can belt, skirt, or just about anything, meaning you can use it year round!
Gloves

                             Forever 21                              Dollar Store

Again, another basic of a Fall or Winter wardrobe, you can never have too many gloves or mittens to keep your digits from freezing. A way to make your gloves stand out are wearing bright colors if you're wearing more neutral colors, fingerless gloves, or taking a pair of plain knit gloves you can pick up at the dollar store and sew beads into them (DIY to come later of course).

Belts
                         Hot Topic                                         Urban Outfitters
Forever 21

I'm a big fan of belts, so any way that I can keep them alive during the incoming cold I will do so. With some of those big belts that many wear overtop of dresses or tunic shirts it is also possible to put over the top of your multiple layers to tie it all together.

Legwarmers

Urban Outfitters

Legwarmers used to be something I would wear under my jeans to keep warm during the Winter, but now is the time to wear them on the outside again. If you want to wear your warm knit dress and tights, these are the perfect accessory to add. It is also a possibility to wear them over skinny jeans.

Of course, these are not the only accessories that you can wear during the winter, but they will definitely become a staple in my wardrobe. Don't be afraid to expand on these toasty ideas!
